Global Representation for Iranian Students Worldwide
The International Iranian Student Union (IRSU) is an independent, non-profit, and student-led organisation dedicated to defending the rights of Iranian students, promoting academic freedom, and advancing equal access to higher education worldwide.
Founded by Iranian students in exile, IRSU serves as the first international platform exclusively representing Iranian students beyond state influence. We advocate for students at risk, support displaced scholars, and work with global partners to ensure the protection of the right to education.
Defending the Right to Education
Education is a fundamental human right. Yet thousands of Iranian students face:
- Academic bans and expulsions
- Arrest, intimidation, and political repression
- Gender-based discrimination in universities
- Financial barriers to international study
